Get a little away from busy Bangkok to Koh Kret, a small island in Chao Phraya River, where you can feel into the peaceful life of Mon society. Koh Kret is a community of craftsmen famous for their unique style of pottery called Koh Kret pots, which date back many centuries. In this trip, you will not only visit Pottery Home Factory but also get a chance to learn how to make one.
First, take a trip around Koh Kret on long-tailed speed boat before get on the island. Visit Paramaiyikawat Temple where you can see the combination of Thai and Mon style. Start biking tour around the island, have fun with making pottery and bring your own creation home. Then explore Koh Kret, seeing the villagers lifestyles, orchards, herb gardens and stop by traditional Thai dessert shops. Visit Sao Thong Thong Buddhist Temple, old temple since Ayutthaya period with a unique stupa built in shape of star fruit. After lunch in Koh Kret, bring you back to Bangkok side by local ferry and transfer back to your hotel safe and sound.
